Published by Palgrave Macmillan, the book explores why Ethiopia’s Solomonic kings initiated long-distance diplomatic contacts with Latin Europe in the late Middle Ages. It traces the history of more than a dozen delegations dispatched by this powerful Christian kingdom in the Horn of Africa.
